We use SVW Connect for collaboration on projects. Most common is the file sharing & Q&A module, but we use tasks and calendar to enable us to manage the projects. The tasks can be related to documents, they can have start and due dates, you can assign responsible people/teams to tasks (which then would get notifications and reminders).

One important advantage of using SVW Connect is having the documents, communication and task management in one place.

Combining process management, document automation and cognitive reasoning tools, we are focusing on rapid and flexible building of applications, making these services instantly available to clients.

These apps are aimed at client processes that are repetitive, are information intensive and are subject to constant changes (law, rules, geographic, industry or customer initiated), both in needed information and in how the result is dependent upon this information. Example applications in progress include dawn-raid guide, GDPR compliance, Merger filing and Downsizing.

SVW has recently contracted with Luminance. The software will read, interpret and extract key provisions; this it can do when a considerable amount of (comparable) documents (eg. client’s property lease agreements) need to be examined.

This approach is a great supplement to manually laborious processes and a stand-alone device in relation to certain standardized agreements and will mitigate risk from human errors and inconsistencies. Our M&A team is using Luminance on several due diligence projects and is now transforming their knowledge into other practice areas and processes.

SVW has implemented a document automation tool (Sysero) that significantly enhances the work with standard documents. Tailoring different documents to the needs of each client has traditionally required quite some routine work.

For example, in an English-language contract with a purchase object, several hundred changes must be made manually if a new purchase object is added later in the process.

SVW can provide key clients with a total contract overview tool. All contracts and obligations under a contract are broken down by their status as either outstanding, due, fulfilled or not fulfilled.

One can filter and customize the search results based on various information and, in that way, swiftly narrow results down to match the criteria that are important. In this way clients have the ability to manage their contract and obligations in a flexible and accurate way.

Various LPM-models (Legal Project Management) are implemented in SVW’s financial system. Therefore it is easy to report on information like time consumption relative to progress / planning, per week, per month or other desired periods (milestones).

SVW has developed a user-friendly interface for slicing and dicing and reporting on various data and KPI’s. For customers these are typically expenditures/invoicing on running matters, budgeted/used hours, average fees, tasks to be completed, etc.
