Bastian Jansen focuses on the banking and finance and renewable energy sectors.
He assists domestic and international lenders, borrowers, issuers and arrangers with financing within the renewable energy sector, shipping and real estate.
Bastian has also experience with different aspects of energy law such as grid companies’ obligation to ensure power producers grid connection, energy trade and the regulation of cost contributions when connecting a power plant to the grid.
He holds a master’s degree from the University of Bergen where he wrote his master thesis on grid companies’ liability for damages where they have breached their obligation to ensure power producers grid connection. He did an exchange semester in Shanghai where he, next to his studies, also had a traineeship at an international law firm.
Bastian won the European Law Students’ Association regional moot court competition in Bergen in 2017.
