Karin Fløistad specializes in public financing of services and her PhD thesis includes a comprehensive EU/EEA analysis of recent practices with regard to free movement and state aid issues in this field.
Karin has published the book ”EEA Agreements in a Revised EU Framework for Welfare Services”, based on her doctoral thesis at the European University Institute in Florence and was appointed head of the new independent Appeals Board for Competition Cases established as of 1. April 2017 in Norway.
She has previously been engaged as a lawyer at the Office of the Attorney General for Civil Affairs, and as a Senior Executive Officer at the Ministry of Justice’s Department of Legal Affairs.
