Kasper Formo Asplin is a specialist on financial regulation law.
Kasper primarily assist Norwegian and foreign investment firms, management companies and financial institutions on applications for authorization and operating conditions, in addition to participants who operates in the financial market and do not require such authorization.
His core expertise is establishing and structuring various fund structures, and he particularly works with alternative investment funds, venture capital funds, private equity funds, technology funds, virtual currency funds and impact funds.
Kasper’s qualifications encompasses listing on regulated markets and prospectuses, the rules covered by the market abuse directive (inside information, market manipulation and obligation to report), the rules regarding duty of disclosure for listed companies, the rules regarding takeover and mandatory bids, including criminal charges and damage claims in connection with these rules.
He also advises on tax and VAT issues in connection with participants on the financial market, as well as EU/EEA law regarding passporting and cross-border activities both into and out of Norway.
