She has considerable experience in labour law consulting in both public and private sectors. This applies to general advice to the employer, as well as advice in connection with layoffs, terminations and change of employment conditions – including reductions in the workforce and adjustment processes. Marianne has also worked extensively on conducting investigative assignments/factual investigations in the public sectors. She has many years of experience in litigation and dispute resolution and she processes civil cases regularly.
Marianne filed her first case before the Supreme Court in October 2015. The case involved the right to retirement from the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund.
She is head of the Department og Labour Law in Trondheim. Major principals in the public sector are among others NGU (Norges Geologiske Undersøkelser), Sør-Trøndelag fylkeskommune and NTNU. From the private sector it is worth mentioning E A Smith AS, Albert E Olsen AS and Reitan.
Marianne is also part of Simonsen Vogt Wiig’s team in Compliance and investigation.
She regularly does courses/lectures for leaders and/or employees both in the public and private business regarding employment law.
