Stig Strand has broad experience from the banking and finance sector, and has in-depth knowledge of contract law and general business law.
Stig has extensive experience of financing in the banking industry after more than 10 years in various positions in DNB Bank ASA, including as First Vice President in New York Branch Legal Department. In his career, he has particularly focused on syndicated loans within the shipping-, offshore-, seafood- and oil and gas- sectors.
He has in-depth knowledge of various financing arrangements and agreements, including commercial contracts related to such transactions, and broad experience in coordinating borrowers, lenders, export credit agencies, law firms and others in cross-border transactions.
Stig has broad experience with contracts and issues related to trade finance, guarantees, derivatives, compliance, anti-money laundering and sanctions. He has worked with issues related to identifying, managing and mitigating financial, operational, reputational and legal risks.
