Erling works primarily within the fields of EU/EEA law, competition law and public procurement law. He has previous experience with competition law and EU/EEA law, working as a research assistant for the Research Group for EU/EEA Commercial Law at the University of Bergen.

Erling holds a master`s degree from the University of Bergen and a LL.M degree in International and European Law from Radboud University, with a specialisation in business law. He wrote his master thesis on the application of the principle of economic continuity and parent company liability in private enforcement of EU competition law. He has also taken courses within competition law, public procurement law, european company law and european employment law.
