Siri Olstad is a highly experienced corporate lawyer with over 23 years of service in leading international oil and gas companies, including Aker Solutions, Subsea 7, Aibel, and Archer. She has also headed the Contracts and Legal Department for Acergy’s Asia and Middle East operations, based in Singapore.
Her core expertise spans contract law, employment law, corporate law, warranty claims, copyright and intellectual property disputes, data protection, corporate governance, construction law, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), as well as litigation and dispute resolution.
She has particular specialisation in contract law, having negotiated a broad spectrum of strategic, high-value contracts and joint ventures. These include agreements related to new builds, turnkey offshore installations, modifications, decommissioning, fabrication, subsea operations, vessel chartering, well services, drilling, and onshore contracting.
Siri has extensive experience in tender management, project advisory, and strategic consultancy. She supports clients across all stages of tenders and project lifecycles, from early strategic planning, contract evaluation and drafting, to effective management of disputes and operational challenges.
She has also been corporate responsible for Human Rights compliance, implementation of the Norwegian Transparency Act, GDPR, trade sanctions, and due diligence of clients, suppliers, and third-party intermediaries. Her expertise hereunder spans designing governance systems and compliance frameworks in accordance with EU directives, including ESG protocols, Codes of Conduct, Dawn Raid procedures, whistleblowing frameworks, GDPR, and MAR/Securities market conduct. She has also been head of investigations, reporting, and supervisory mechanisms in these domains.
Siri has held numerous board positions across the private sector, including chairman roles, within the oil and gas and renewable energy industries. She was a finalist in the 2024 “Styrekvinnen” Awards, as “Experienced Board Member,” hosted by AW Magazine and Agile Group. She has also had several central roles in the Norwegian Bar Association, including leading the Board of Representative Annyal Assemblies, the Association’s highest governing body, from 2020 to 2024.
As a respected public speaker, Siri is frequently invited to participate in panel discussions and presentations on topics spanning from corporate governance, board dynamics, compliance, contract law, project management, negotiation strategies to project risk awareness.
