Maritime and Transport Law
The Shipping and Offshore Practice covers all areas of maritime law, including casualty work. We are frequently instructed in major marine casualties in both Norway and abroad, including collisions and groundings, pollution spills, wreck removals, cargo damage etc.
We are also frequently providing advice in connection with salvage, general average and maritime incident investigations. A large part of the team is dedicated to ship finance transactions, including sale and purchase of ships and oil rigs, building- and repair contracts, re-flagging, charter party negotiations, and various funding structures.
Marine insurance disputes have traditionally been an important part of our work, and we provide assistance in relation to all aspects of marine insurance, including H&M, P&I, FD&D as well as construction risk, war risk insurance, loss-of-hire insurance and cargo insurance.
