Public Procurement

Simonsen Vogt Wiig is one of the leading law firms in Norway within the field of public procurement, and we assist both contracting authorities and suppliers.

We have extensive experience from several of the largest Norwegian public procurements in the latter years, inter alia the procurement of rescue helicopters and the procurement of a mobile communications network for the emergency sector.

When we assist contracting authorities, we make sure that the contracting authority complies with public procurement law in all phases of the public procurement, all through planning, tendering and the contractual phase. We have a unique experience in being a part of the project organisation of large public procurements.

For suppliers, it is important that the contracting authority complies with public procurement law. An active approach early in the procurement procedure can secure equal treatment in the procedure. If the contracting authority makes an error that may have affected the outcome of the procedure, we assist suppliers in pursuing their rights in the courts or in the Complaints tribunal for public procurement (KOFA).

Several of our lawyers have working experience from the Competition Authorities, EU Commission, the Office of the Attorney General and from the Ministries.

Internationally recognised

Our Public Procurement team is part of our EU/EEA and Competition Practice, which is top ranked by the leading publication and rating agency Legal 500.

Clients praise Simonsen Vogt Wiig's solution-oriented and to-the-point team.
