Arne Oftedal possesses 25 years of experience in prosecuting complex litigation before the courts. His expertise predominantly spans environmental law, specifically pollution disputes, as well as real estate, construction, employment law, contract law, and public procurements. Notably, he secured a victory in the well-publicised Jadarhus-case, reflecting his competence and recognition in the field.
Regarded as a preeminent specialist in Norway on environmental, climate, and sustainability matters, Arne presides over the legal committee of the Bar Association dedicated to these issues. Since 1997, he has been actively involved in this sector, offering consultancy to both domestic and international corporations undertaking green transitions.
Moreover, Arne Oftedal boasts substantial experience and specialist knowledge in complex real estate ventures, including issues related to planning and building regulations. He offers guidance to both purchasers and vendors, is a licensed real estate broker, and has overseen the financial settlements of a multitude of property transactions.
Arne’s proficiency extends to advising major employers on employment law matters. Since 2006, his work has encompassed public procurement issues, on which he has frequently lectured, including on sustainable procurement practices.
