Can Google Analytics be used in compliance with the GDPR? – The impact of the new EU-US Trans-Atlantic Data Privacy Framework

Dato: Onsdag 30. mars 2022
Tid: 09:00 - 10:00
Sted: Webinar

Following the CJEU Schrems II case, NOYB/Max Schrems has filed 101 complaints in 30 EU and EEA member states, alleging that these businesses are using Google Analytics and Facebook Connect in violation of the GDPR data transfer rules. The European Data Protection Authorities have coordinated their handling of the complaints, and the first decisions, and also comments from the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, indicate that businesses using Google Analytics may not meet the strict requirements set out in the Schrems II decision.

Our privacy experts will discuss the recent developments related to Google Analytics, including:

• what can we deduce from the latest decisions and comments from EEA supervisory authorities, including the EDPS and the Austrian, French, and Norwegian authorities?
• is there still room for maneuver to use Google Analytics in Norway, and if so, what measures must the businesses consider?
• what is expected to happen going forward?

Link to the webinar will be provided upon registration. The seminar is free of charge. Presentations will be held in Norwegian, while slides will be in English.

The webinar is part of SVW’s Data Protection Compliance Forum.
